Happy Birthday, Lynsey!

To my freckled-face strawberry,
You have brought me joy ever since I found out I was going to be a mommy. I remember the happiness I felt when I heard you speak your first words or when I witnessed you taking your first steps. More than anything, though, I marvel as I watch you grow into the person God made you to be.
I love your wonder and curiosity of the world. Never lose your investigative mind! I pray that your thirst for knowledge is never quenched. You look at everything with such awe and interest. Never stop asking questions! Questions are vital on a quest for knowledge and knowledge is power.
I love your ability to make friends wherever you go. You are hospitable and always make a stranger feel like a friend. You radiate a sunlight that makes everyone else feel warm. A heart as loving and wonderful as yours may get bruised by unkind people, but do not let them discourage you. Protect your kind heart, but always keep it opened.
You aren't afraid to explore your own interests, even if they are different Do not let the world tell you who you should be. The only set of expectations that matters is that of the Lord. Stay true to yourself, even if you stand alone.
I wish I could always see the world through your optimistic eyes. Every challenge is an opportunity for you. You take every set back as a time to learn. The world would be a better place if we all had the ability to see the glass as overflowing as you do.
Never lose your zest for the Lord. I already see a worshipful heart in you at such a young age. You are not afraid to tell everyone you meet about Jesus. God's light shines through you; don't ever let anyone dim that light.
You are the type of friend that everyone wants to have. You possess a pure faith that I long to regain. You always picture the rainbow that will come, even when it is storming. You wake up everyday knowing that each new day brings new possibilities. You are a caring sister and a loving daughter. At only 6 years old, you display so many qualities I aspire to have. I have loved sharing life with you these past 6 years, and I look forward to your many birthdays to come. I love you to the moon and back.
